I’ve partnered with UNICEF numerous times since 2016 to document their work across Iraq. We’ve covered UNICEF’s response to the humanitarian crisis surrounding the battle for Mosul, situations faced by internally displace Iraqis, and documented the conditions for refugees from Syria. We also collaborated on a photography training program for displaced youth in Iraq in which Nikon provided cameras and I ran personalized classes for the students. This is a small selection from that work.

Ahmed and Saba are internally displaced children living at a camp with their family on the outskirts of Erbil. They fled Ramadi after a car bomb killed with sister and injured their father. Both children attend a UNICEF supported school for now but their mother, Suha, hopes they’ll be able to return home soon.
